My new new Topic

My new topic--and hopefully the last- is about Animal Abuse. I chose this topic because I really enjoy learning about animals and I really hate what people do to these poor animals. I thought it would be perfect to research more about this topic. What I know from the back of my head about animal abuse is that a large amount of owners have pets which end up scratched up, or hurt in some way. There are thousands of abuses reported of owners mistreating their animals. The animals that are most often abused are horses, livestock, dogs, cats and birds. My three main questions that I hope to research are: what are the laws of animal abuse, and how everyone is penalized. Second, what is the overall percentage of animals abuses reported in the United States. Third, what are the reasons that people abuse their animals. Hopefully, I find good information on this topic.

Background Info

     When making movies there are a whole lot of steps that producers need to go through in order to have a good and successful film. It all starts with storytelling, now a days sound and color and many more developements. But the real first films that were produced started off in France by Leon Cauhmont that was produced in the late 19th century. But were as early as 1877. But when films started they weren't long at all, they were all short films. The movie pictures were synchrynized with a gramophone record.
     And something super cool that I found out waws that they didn't have video cameras before so they captured pictures of something. Then a painter in the early time would take the photos and put them on a spinner. This would cause the pictures to move frame by frame and create moving pictures for the audience to see.
     So as time went on, technology progressed and progressed causing technology to advance. Later there was no need for these kinds of things. As more time passed more effects came into the picture. For example, sound started to develope into film and later came color. Not to far back the green screen was developed where people made effects that we can not do in real life or that would be risking our lives.
     I think that this is something interesting for us to know because if we are so connected with movies in our society, might as well know where this came from and how we have improved so much throughout the years. Before there were only a few people recognized for this sort of thing, but now so many people have contributed to this bussiness that it boomed and now it is a great contribution to out society and a way for our country to get money.

I chose this chart because it shows that in our society people are trying to find easier access to movies and also they want ot be more comfortable when they watch their movies. Having movies at home is something that people don't want to squander.

My reflection

     When we first started this project I seriously thought it was going to be a piece of cake. But I was totally wrong. After I didn't do a good job on researching my first topic which was polygamy, I had to change my topic.
     Overall, reasearching my new topic which is Movies, I have learned that movies have been a great impact on our society. Like I wrote in my last blog that people watch movies either for enterteinment and to relieve stress and relax, but others use them as educational films. I've also learned that society is influenced by videos way more than in the past century.
     Sincerely I feel that I can find a much greater connection on the topic that I have now than the one that I had before. Society can relate more to movies that sometimes relate to real life events than with anything wlse I think. The only thing that I still wonder is what were the first ideas that people or producers developed when first starting to make movies.

Movies and their impact on society

My big question is, I am going to research how movies are such a big impact on society. During research, an article explained how society now not only watches movies for only enterteinment but also for for relaxation. After a hard day of work or a long day at school people usually go home and relax to a nice movie and maybe a few snacks. Basically after a stressfull day movies help clear our minds and allow us to get rid of their burden. But in the 19th century when movies had first come up as an idea, there wasn't exaclty an influence on society. When it was time to get a part for a movie it was discipline, sobriety and reliability. But now it is sexual appeal that get someone a job in the movie bussiness. I guess that the main idea of this speal is that movies are looked up upon and people want to be like them and the people that produce them are a great influence.

New Topic

For my new topic I will be writing about movies. I will sort of be writing just about anything in general. But I will start out about on how movies are way more important in society now than they were before. Also, I will be explaining the concept that movies are used to bring out a topic into communities and films bring out crucial subjects which then people start to make a change. My topic hopefully will be entertaining for most of you.

Background Information

Polygamy also known as a plural marriage is a practice that was brought over from the Muslim religion. Polygamy is known as any gender having more than one spouse of the opposite sex is illegal in the United States and can be fined. But like the Muslim religion exists here, the government can't intervine because of the first amendment. So then that becomes an issue. What has happened is that there now exists polygamous communities in Colorado and Utah. All of this started in the Middle East where the parents read the Koran and there it instructs that their chidrens marriages will be arranged. That's how one person (usually male) ends up with so many wives. But this also exists in Africa.
